The Wraith is the new 2019 flagship release in the "EP-Series" of IEMs from US Based Empire Ears, and is the world's first earphone to combine 4 electrostatic drivers with 7 balanced armature drivers, in order to deliver smooth, articulate sound across the frequency range. Each Wraith earpiece is handcrafted in the USA with an exclusive 'Amethyst Infused carbon-fibre' faceplate, and despite the extensive array of drivers the Wraith remains balanced and comfortable in the ear. Each Wraith includes the ultra premium Cleopatra cable from Effect Audio, a 26 AWG UPOCC Ultra Pure Silver cable that ensures high conductance and excellent flexibility,
The EP Series is Empire Ear's line of IEMs designed for professional monitoring, and the Wraith sits atop the range with a sound well suited for stage monitoring or critical listening. The sound of the Wraith is smooth across the frequency range with a particular emphasis on the lower midrange that tends to create a stronger sense of resonance in male vocalists. The result is a sound that is articulate and clear, but very smooth in the high frequencies. If you prefer something with more aggression and energy, we recommend the 64 Audio Fourte, or if you desire a stronger bass response, the Empire Ears Legend X.
