EarMen CH-Amp Desktop Headphone Amp w/ LPSU

CH-Amp is serious desktop headphone amplifier with an impressively small footprint. Designed as a stack with an included Linear Power Supply, the CH-Amp supplies up to 3.8W of power. With both 4.4mm balanced input, 4.4mm balanced headphone output and a 4.4mm balanced pre-amp output, the EarMen CH-Amp is a champion of versatility.

Design

EarMen CH-Amp uses premium components for neutral, clear sound: WIMA capacitors as well as audio electrolytes in combination with MELF low noise resistors and SoundPlus OPA1642 operational amplifiers. The result is impressive technical performance, with very low signal-to-noise ratio, THD, and excellent frequency response. The CH-Amp outputs up to 3.8W of clean power even with demanding headphone loads.

EarMen CH-Amp includes two important features: preamp outs and a gain switch. CH-Amp has balanced and single-ended preamp outputs, so you can connect to powered monitors for a complete system. The gain switch gives you better control of both output level, for better headphone matching.

EarMen CH-Amp is a fully Balanced Headphone Amplifier which means that the balanced outputs from the source go to the output intact, only amplified. From the Single-end input, the signals are converted to balanced without phase shift (phase imbalance), so that the obtained + and - signals are perfectly in phase. In this way Earmen removes unwanted noise and prevent it from being added inside the device.

Exceptional Workmanship

CH-Amp's chassis is milled from a full block of aluminum, which makes it extremely durable and robust. The compact design makes it fit any environment, or home. The PCB is embedded in a solid aluminum housing, giving the board greater protection inside the housing and additional insulation from external influences.

Low Noise Linear Power Supply

With the CH-Amp you also get linear low noise power supply made without compromise, using the best components and the latest circut design. The EarMen Linear power supply is reliable, simplistic and produces minimal noise.

The LPSU has protection against current overload, short circuit and thermal overload according to the highest safety standards.

THe EarMen LPSU has been designed specifically for EarMen's range of desktop products and includes additional cables to power EarMen Tradutto DAC and EarMen Staccato Streamer for a great all-in-one stack.
