The Auris Audio Nirvana IV is a high end tube amplifier deisgned for almost any headphone. Paired with anything from 32 ohm low sensitivity planar magnetics to 600 ohm high impedance dynamic driver models, the Nirvana delivers smooth, rich sound.
High Quality Components
Nirvana features carefully chosen components. The tubes have been carefully selected and pre-tested, and should last for 10,000 hours. The Nirvana is powered by the iconic EL34 by Electro Harmonix, a prized Pentode found commonly in high-end British amplifiers. The drive tube is ECC82 by Tung- Sol, popular in the audio world for its low-noise performance. The Nirvana IV's transformers are manually wound on a double C core and manufactured in-house with strictly defined requirements. Other internal components - branded Mundorf, Rubicon, Wima etc. reflect the high end approach.
Design
The new Nirvana IV has been updated with a robust and durable aluminum case. Stylishly deisgned with an external power supply unit, attached to the main amplifier via a high quality 1m long cord. A glass plate protects the tubes, and the front fascia features backlit VU meters and two headphone outputs ( 4-pin XLR + 6.3mm stereo). An output impedance selector switch and gain switch allow you to tune the Nirvana IV for headphones of differing impedances and sensitivities.
The Nirvana ships in a large box well protected with internal foam. The total package weight is 17 kg.
