Earmen Angel Portable Amp/DAC

EarMen Angel is a portable, fully balanced Hi-Res DAC / headphone amplifier with additional pre-out functionality. With high power output and a 2-cell battery in a small footprint, the Angel enables high quality output to almost any headphone on the go.

ESS DAC

EarMen Angel uses ESS DAC ES9038Q2M for impressive SNR and THD + N characteristics compared to its competitors, along with the newest XMOS USB receiver chip capable of decoding up to 768kHz/32 bit PCM, DSD256 via DoP and MQA Studio.

EarMen Angel employs a fully balanced design where the balanced signal is intact from the DAC chip all the way to the headphone output. There are no changes in the audio signal itself except for the gain stage amplifier, so the sound from the DAC is preserved.

The device is designed so that there are no additional capacitors and other components in the audio ground path. This ensures pure sound with minimal distortion.

Powerful Headphone Amplifier

The Earmen Angel employs a powerful headphone amplifier stage with up to 8.5VRMs output. With 3.5mm and 4.4mm balanced output, you can connect your favourite headphones. The digitally controlled volume pot and the Gain+ switch allow for easier usage with headphones of differing sensitivity.

Powerful Battery

EarMen Angel has a two-cell 2x3000mAh battery system which will give you many hours of listening time and a charging time of less than 3 hours. Separate DATA and USB charging ports allow the device to run continuously if it is on the charger, so you can use it all day as a desktop system.

Line Out Option

The line out-option gives you the ability to use Angel as a high performance pre amp for your home system. You can also choose whether to use Single End or Fully Balanced output. The choice is yours.
